Some consider Lent to be the most solemn season of the Church year.
Lent is a period of forty days that begins with the repentance of Ash Wednesday and ends with the sorrow and tragedy of Good Friday. It is a time to reflect on our lives, to repent of our separation from God and each other, to seek a change of heart and life, and to experience transformation.
Above all, Lent offers a time of preparation for Easter by Christians. Many will place special emphasis on regular church worship attendance, personal and family devotion, individual sacrifice and service to others. How will you observe a holy Lent?

Holy Week Family Dinner + Walk
Wednesday, March 28
Begins at 5:45PM in the Fellowship Hall
All are welcome to join us during Holy Week for a simple, buffet-style dinner in Fellowship Hall anytime between 5:45–7:00PM. After eating, families and individuals are welcome to walk and pray through the Stations of the Cross at their own pace. A prayer guide and map will be provided. A suggested donation ($15/family, $5/individual) can be made at the door. Please email J’Nevelyn Lloyd at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP for this event.
Traditionally, the Stations of the Cross have served as a small pilgrimage for followers of Christ to experience his final days on earth. This spiritual practice is particularly meaningful during Holy Week when we commemorate these events in Jesus’ life.
