Beginning with Palm Sunday, we spend Holy Week exploring the depth, meaning, and perspective of what God has done for the world through Jesus. The core of the week continues with the three-act unfolding of Easter. Act One is Maundy Thursday. Act Two is Good Friday. Act Three is the Easter morning.
This unfolding is Christ’s journey, and our Christian journey is enhanced, if not transformed, by following his footsteps day by holy day. Experiencing the entire week puts us on a common path and gives us a shared experience. Woven together through worship, we bring ourselves to Sunday and throw open the doors of hospitality to all who come to sing in Easter joy. As a community of Christians, we are made ready for resurrection by taking the journey through the cross.
Palm Sunday Worship
Sunday, April 14
8:30, 9:30, 11:00AM in Sanctuary
11:00AM in Fellowship Hall
When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, a large crowd of people hailed him as a conquering king, waving palm branches and laying their cloaks on the ground before him. At each of our Palm Sunday services, worshipers will receive palm branches to wave as we ponder together how we follow King Jesus on the road to the cross. Childcare is always available for our Sunday morning worship services.
Children are invited to meet on the Front Lawn before each service to participate in the processional waving of palm branches during worship.
