A typical worship service at Tarrytown United Methodist Church (TUMC) includes a greeting and opening prayer, time for people to greet each other, scripture readings, silent prayer and meditation, an offering, the Lord’s Prayer, a children’s message, the sermon, special music and hymns, and a closing prayer.
Communion is served every Sunday during the Fellowship Hall worship service and on the first Sunday of each month during the Sanctuary worship services. All are invited to celebrate communion, but you can choose whether or not you wish to participate.
Sunday Morning Worship
Worship in our sanctuary is a traditional, liturgical service. Children are always welcome. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month in all services.
8:30 am — Piano and song leader
9:30 am — Organ and small ensemble
11:00 am — Organ and choir
TUMC offers a variety of Sunday School class opportunities for Adults, Children and Youth. Most classes are focused on Bible study and fellowship, with plenty of opportunities for socializing and service outside of Sunday Morning.
Chapel Communion Service
A thirty-minute service of prayer, Holy Communion, and healing. Held most Wednesday evenings in the TUMC Chapel at 6:30pm.
