You are loved, God’s got you, and everything is going to be okay.
This past Sunday was Youth Led Worship, which is when your Tarrytown United Methodist Church Youth get a chance to lead worship and share their stories, gifts, talents, and passions to the entire TUMC community. With all the practice and preparation that goes into Youth Led Worship, it would have been easy to just make it a production. God showed up. The prayer and discernment surrounding all of us in preparation and delivery allowed it to be a worshipful and impactful service.
Our students want to remind you that you are loved by God, that God’s got you; everything is going to be okay. We should be moved by this great love and live into the gospel, leaning into every moment as an offering to God.
HUGE THANKS to the youth and families who came to extra rehearsals, showed up for all four worship services. Kati Strong-Thompson and Joey Thompson want to thank the extra singers who joined in the processional at each service. Such support for the youth is amazing as we share in this journey of faith together. “We are not alone, we live in God’s world….” David Chambers, Amber Palmer, and I were super proud of each speaker, each usher, each musician, and the students who helped with art and technology. We are grateful to be in ministry with a church that continues to support our youth
